Social distancing and stay-at-home orders make it tough for court-appointed child advocates to help children in CPS custody or in foster/group homes. The number of in-person inspections and interviews, as well as advocacy for children at-risk has decreased or stopped altogether. But, the need for them has not. Officials are learning to be there for children by using technology. This may bode well for the future as some people may only need online help, which opens resources beyond just their own counties.
