The Medical City uploaded on its Facebook page a two-minute clip that shows Miltos Yerolemou
extending his gratitude to the hospital staff. The actor plays Syrio Forel, Arya Stark’s beloved sword fighting teacher, on “Game of Thrones.”
Miltos started the video by greeting the health workers at the Ortigas branch of the hospital, where his friend’s father was confined up to demise due to COVID-19.
“His family told me of the care that your team gave him and the brave work that you do for all your patients each and every day,” he said. “You face fatigue, shortages of supplies, and a very real risk of infection –they want you to know that you, all of you are their heroes.”
Miltos mentioned the names of doctors who took care of his friend’s father.
“They also asked me to tell you to keep safe, rest well, and to take care,” he related, adding that his friend’s family are “forever grateful” to the medical staff.
“You are in their prayers every single day.”
In the latter part of the video, Miltos expressed warm messages in Tagalog, saying: “Huwag po kayong susuko. Bayani po kayong lahat. Maraming-maraming salamat po.”
He then used as advice the same line he said to Arya on “Game Of Thrones.”
“Remember: there is only one thing we say to the god of death: Not today,” he said. “Stay strong, stay safe, and thank you for everything that you do.”
