A healthy mum of twin boys died in hospital just days after contracting Coronavirus. Caroline Saunby had no underlying health conditions when she was struck down by Covid-19. The 48-year-old mum tragically died at James Cook University Hospital on Sunday, reports The Mirror. Her distraught twin Sarah Jarvis was left heartbroken at the sudden death which 'ripped their family apart'. Her shocked sister is warning the public that Carolines death proves that the deadly illness could attack anyone, insisting that her sister had taken "every precaution under the sun". Mrs Jarvis warned that the tragedy showed that the deadly illness could strike anyone, saying her sister had taken "every precaution under the sun". She told The Sun : "People believe that because they are young and healthy they aren't at risk but are the reality of how coronavirus can change anyone's life." Mrs Jarvis described her sister as a germaphobe who washed her hands constantly. She said: "She was practising social distancing, she was washing her hands, took hers and everyone's safety seriously, was healthy - yet she was taken from us in only four days. "This virus does not discriminate." Teesside Live reports that the said the mum had began getting symptoms of the virus on Thursday and had originally thought her sore throat was a bout of tonsillitis. But by Sunday Mrs Saunby was experiencing breathing difficulties and she had collapsed at home. An ambulance and air ambulance were rushed to her home, where she was placed on ventilator support. She was then taken to hospital, where she later tragically died. Mrs Saunby left behind her husband and two young boys. It is not known where she caught the illness, and the rest of both the Jarvis and Saunby families are now self-isolating. Mrs Jarvis added that it was heartbreaking that the family could not mourn together. She said: "Every part of our family in lockdown and we can’t console Caroline's boys or our parents or each other. "We can’t have a funeral to celebrate her life. This is our reality waiting to see if her husband will get ill. "Please listen to this and take this as a warning to us all what is happening right now." In a Facebook post, Mrs Jarvis wrote: "Our lives have been ripped apart forever by this horrendous virus that people still are not taking seriously enough. "Caroline was 48, fit and healthy with no existing conditions and she was taken from us in four days. When will people start to take this as seriously as it needs to be?" Sarah went on to pay tribute to her sister, saying: "She was just the most kind, selfless generous loyal person you would ever meet," Sarah wrote on social media. "Nothing was ever too much trouble; she couldn't help being kind to all creatures and was loved by so many.
