there have been many attempts to classify living organisms. The earliest scientific methods to classify organisms were that plants were classified as shrubs, trees, and herbs and animals were classified as red-blooded and non-red-blooded But this classification was not enough. Then came a more detailed classification of Plantae and Animalia kingdom.

There were a lot of organisms which didn’t fall into either category. So came the need of other classification method which we’ll discuss here. We’ll learn
1. Kingdom Monera.
2. Kingdom Protista and Kingdom Fungi.
3. Kingdom Plantae and Kingdom Animalia.
4. Lichens, Viruses and Viroid.
