Homemade mayonnaise with egg - RECIPE
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 0 mins
Complexity: Easy
Ingredients (4 people):
1 whole egg
100-150ml extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 - 1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 - 1/4 lemon juice
Procedure:
1) Crack the egg in a blender;
2) Have a first quick whisk, then add the salt and the lemon juice;
3) Now start the blender and VERY SLOWLY add the oil...
4) Go slow with the oil, do not rush. Keep adding until the egg emulsify completely. This typically takes 100-150ml of extra-virgin olive oil but depends on the size of the egg and the oil you're using
5) ALL DONE, ENJOY!
ITALIAN FOOD BOSS SPECIAL TIP: You can use the oil that you like, but I recommend (as usual!) extra-virgin olive oil. You gotta pour it VERY VERY SLOWLY in the blender...
