Kudlow Says Trump Has Advocated Mask-Wearing Since 'Day One'

Kudlow Says Trump Has Advocated Mask-Wearing Since 'Day One' White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow says there has been no change in White House coronavirus protocol, despite President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump testing positive for the virus.

Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Kudlow says from "day one," the administration has been advocating mask-wearing, distancing and testing. "And we're keeping that up," he said.

Kudlow made the comments without a mask on himself. But when pressured by the journalists he was talking to, he did put one on.

The president's top economic adviser said he has been told Trump has "a rather light case," and he said he's confident "this will be over before long."

He says he doesn't believe the situation will have a negative impact on the economy because other heads of state have gotten the coronavirus and moved on and the president continues working from the White House.

"We're getting tasks coming back from the president. So clearly, he's doing OK," Kudlow said. "I don't think it has any lasting impact."
