Lethargic feeling is generally a feeling which can arise out of so many causes that its almost called a general symptom of a thousand diseases. More than anything else, if your body is asking for rest, body is telling you that I cannot do a function today, then please listen to it. This can be because of overwork, chronic illness, it could even be the start of something acute which is coming. It could be also when we are dehydrated, if not slept very well, if you’ve had a very very late night the previous night or if you haven’t slept, the quality of sleep hasn’t been well. All the cases will give you a lethargic feeling in the morning. Now until and unless you zero down on what particular day’s lethargy is all about, I don’t think we can address it on a very common platform but having said that, if it is important to overcome it, there are three things that help. First, heat, something hot to drink, two sugar which gives you instant calories and three a certain deliberate physical effort of getting out and getting on with the day and after a few minutes you realize that because the blood circulation picks up, the lethargy it can be reduced. But otherwise lethargy can be the reason, the reason behind lethargy can be many many reasons, not one.
