Antibiotic resistance – An approaching crisis? Antibiotic drugs are a miracle of modern medicine that we take completely for granted. Well, soon we might not be able to do that any more. Soon, we might be looking back to the amazing time when we didn’t have to think twice about routine surgery because infections could easily be treated. Because with the steady rise of antibiotic resistance, those days might soon be gone. How big a problem is it? And what do we need to do about it?
