A look at the 10 countries with the most coronavirus deaths as the death toll passes one million.

The US has more than 200,000 deaths related to Covid-19, with the UK fifth on the list.

Meanwhile, there are warnings the figure is likely to underestimate the true total.

The grim milestone was reached early on Tuesday morning, according to John Hopkins University, nearly ten months after the coronavirus pandemic erupted in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019.

A senior WHO official cautioned on Monday that the actual number of Covid-19 deaths is probably much higher.
